Template:Infobox character Kana Yabuki (Template:RubyTemplate:Ruby, Yabuki Kana^?) is one of the new idols introduced in THE iDOLM@STER: Million Live! series. She is voiced by Ibuki Kido.

Personality

Kana is a 14-year-old girl who loves music, especially singing. As long as she can sing, she is happy. Yet, there is one problem-- namely, that she's tone deaf. Whenever she starts singing, any animals in the vicinity will start running and other people will cover their ears. Kana herself is aware of this problem and is always try her hardest to improve her skill day and night and it seems to work since in THE IDOLM@STER LIVE THE@TER PERFORMANCE 08 she gives quite a good performance.

Kana has a bright and positive personality suiting a girl her age but has a complex towards her own signing skills and she will express her own insecurities from time to time. She can also be very clumsy-- she has put salt into coffee instead of sugar and worn her coat inside-out. In addition, she's quite a crybaby (Anna once scared her into crying in a test of courage event, and she cries when imagining herself parting with the Producer) and she dislikes natto.

While her singing skills are still under development, her talent in playing the clarinet is on par with a professional. She has even been scouted once. She's also very good at sports-- she always played soccer with the boys in her elementary school years. She could kick the ball out of the stadium, and in baseball, she could outrun the ball itself.

Kana makes an appearance in THE IDOLM@STER MOVIE: Beyond the Brilliant Future!, where she bonds with Haruka Amami.

Etymology

• The name Kana means "Yes" (可) (ka) and "Nara, what" (奈) (na).
• Kana's surname Yabuki means "arrow" (矢) (ya) and "blowing" (吹) (buki).

Trivia

• Kana has a parrot named Keru-chan.
• Kana is an only child.
